Musings While In The Hold is a manuscript of thirty two different titles divided into twelve separate parts.
“MUSING” = Absorbed in thought; Meditative; Contemplation, Reflection; Pondering.
“HOLD” = Stronghold, Fortified Place – Safe keeping until the will of God is known. “To keep back from action”
This exposition of Musings While In The Hold will explore the depths of the sufferings of God’s most precious and highly used men in the Holy Scriptures. Embrace the dreadful sadness of the “dark side” of God’s seeming absence. Pondering how these things can be? “Where is my God”? “How long?” This is truly the “dark side of the hold.” Can it be that God has turned against His child and caused him to be the subject of the “saddest of the sad songs?” Are not these the cries of a worn out and wearied spirit?
There is however, a wonderful inexpressible side to the glorious Godhead which makes all affliction light affliction. “The Lord is thy keeper.” “He is faithful.” “He knows the end from the beginning” “and all His ways are perfect.” The great Jesus is the most celebrated sufferer of all time. He “became sin for the children of God.” which brought to pass the “Greatest exchange ever.” He was made like His brethren, so His brethren could be made like Him.”
It is our hope that we will discover not only the deep sadness that the child of God may suffer, but also experience the unsearchable glories which are ordered by God.
