It is true that Satan, with restless malice, accuses the brethren day and night before God (Revelation 12; 10); and oftentimes there may be valid ground for his accusations; but ‘we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.’ He presents a sufficient answer to every plea.” (Henry W. Soltau 1805-1875)

In response to this quote, I’m reminded of God’s promises to us who believe, in spite of our constant rebellion against our Lord and Savior.

God’s Word reads as follow, “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”. Romans 8:26-28.

Also for more encouragement in promise to us from God, his everlasting love, we also must read and believe Romans 8:31-39. It is here that we see the full measure of God’s love for us who believe, “that nothing, including Satan and his accusations can separate us from the love of God.

Our eternal salvation is secure in Christ Jesus.
